Still Employed ("we", "our", "the App") is a daily check-in application that helps users track their employment status in a lighthearted way. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the App:
- Account Information: Your Apple ID email address and display name, collected through Sign in with Apple authentication.
- Profile Information: Your chosen nickname, job title, and company name (provided voluntarily during onboarding).
- Check-in Data: Timestamps, timezone, and local date of your daily check-ins.
- Streak Data: Your current and longest check-in streaks, calculated from check-in history.
- Preferences: Language preference, reminder settings, and emergency notification thresholds.
- Emergency Contact: An optional email address you provide for emergency inactivity notifications.
- Location Data: With your explicit permission, we collect city-level location (city name, region, and country code) solely for anonymous city-based statistics. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the daily check-in service and calculate streaks.
- To display your position on the anonymous global leaderboard.
- To send reminder emails when you have not checked in within your configured time window.
- To send emergency notification emails to your designated contact if you exceed your configured inactivity threshold.
- To show anonymous, aggregated city-level statistics (if you opt in).
- To display your personalized AI replacement risk score based on your job title.
4. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud infrastructure platform, with servers hosted in the United States.
- Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensure that each user can only access their own personal data.
- Authentication is handled through Apple's Sign in with Apple service.
- We do not store your Apple ID password.
5. Data Sharing
- We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties.
- We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- The only external communication is sending emails via our server for reminders and emergency notifications to addresses you explicitly provide.
- Leaderboard data is displayed anonymously using your chosen nickname only.
6. Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as your account is active.
- You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings page, which permanently removes all your personal data from our servers.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through the App.
- Correct your profile information at any time.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Opt out of location-based statistics.
- Enable or disable reminder and emergency notifications.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
